Pork stir fry

Produced to meet the growing demand for quickly prepared meals. Lean, tender meat, cut into thin strips which may be sold ready-seasoned and with chopped vegetables added (called ’value added’). Beef and Lamb Stir-Fry also available.

Stir-Fry. This is a fast and healthy method of cooking, becoming increasingly popular. Use a heavy-based pan or wok, over a high heat and toss and stir ingredients continuously for just a few minutes.

Virtually anything can be added to a stir-fry, from spring onions, bean sprouts and shredded cabbage to more exotic ingredients like baby corn and mange tout. Choose colourful combinations and slice to cook quickly. Ideal for all kinds of occasions, served with rice or noodles.

Stir-frying is a healthy method of cooking because it uses very little oil and the vegetables are cooked quickly, retaining their crispness and vitamin content.

Made up in a marinade is likely to be cheaper than meat alone, since the inclusion of other ingredients lowers the price per 450g (1 Ib). Very convenient for a tasty, nourishing meal when time is short.
